Smyths toys superstore is to open in Monks cross shopping center, with a big party to celebrate.

The grand opening of this store is set to take place Thursday 22nd May.

The store will take over Unit 13 and 13A, previously home to H&M, and Jane Plum home store.

This store will be an extension of the Smyths store already in Clifton Moor. However, this store has not spoken out on whether they will be continuing to function when the new store in Monks Cross opens.

This new location will include a Smyth’s gaming section, offering the latest consoles and games, such as Nintendo, PlayStation, Xbox and many more.

Smyth’s Baby Room is a new feature within the superstore, and will hold essential baby items such as pushchairs and car seats for home and travel.

The Smyths website says: “We offer you the largest range of the latest and greatest products in toys, baby, outdoor and gaming, all at the lowest prices.

In celebration of this opening, the Smyth’s team will be hosting a party fron Thursday until Sunday 25th May.

This party will include free giveaways of toys such as Paw Patrol mini plush, Super Mario mini’s and many other toys. There will be free face painting for those over the age of three, alongside free candy floss, while the Paw Patrol On Wheels Tour will stop by on Saturday 24th May.
