Yorkshire Craft Festival returns this Spring

Yorkshire Craft Festival returns for a third year of markets, workshops, talks and demonstrations for creative people around York. 

Spanning from 10th April to the 14th the festival promises to celebrate traditional and modern craft skills from the region. 

There will also be chance to learn creative skills with several demonstrations and craft workshops, available to anyone with tickets, and family friendly walk in sessions throughout the four days.

Among the workshops taking place during the four day festival there will be opportunities to create and take home creative pieces, learn new skills and techniques.

Must Forge and Environmental Arts are holding a workshop to create your own metal roses in either steel or copper from £35. 

Natasha Jackson owner of Natasha Jackson ceramics will be offering a pot throwing workshop from £12.  

Similarly, Natasha will also be offering a pot painting workshop in different styles and colours ranging from £5 to £15.  

Katy Small felt artist and teacher is holding a felted picture workshop for all abilities from £15. 

Janet Fraser a stained-glass specialist will be teaching basic techniques in stained glass to create a take home piece which is £15.  

Lastly willow artist Toni Cross will be running workshops on handwoven willow sculptures such as plant obelisks, dragonflies, flying swallows, mini sculptures and growing Harlequin Trees from £20. 

Organised by Made in Yorkshire, all workshops take place on Parliament Street in the heart of York.

From 10am until 4pm multiple workshops will be held throughout the four days for everyone to get involved in.
