On Monday the 21st of July 2025 Police chased a BMW on the outskirts of York ended after the car flew over a roundabout.
After a 140 mile an hour chase and crash Ashley Parr has been arrested.
Parr, 35, has admitted to drunk driving, drug-driving and dangerous driving and has been sentenced to 16 months in prison and banned from driving for three years and eight months.
The police tracked the licence plate and found the car had been registered to Leeds which allowed them to plan where to position their cars to stop him.
Traffic Constable Nick Simpson at the Fulford interchange on the A64 and followed the car with the blue lights activated before Ashley Parr manoeuvred across lanes and accelerated.
Before they could stop Parr, he sped over a roundabout spinning in the air before crashing back down onto the road.
A member of public originally reported this to the police on the 21st of July 2025 at 21:10 P.M which allowed the officers to quickly begin a pursuit of the vehicle.
After the chase and the crash, officers at the scene managed to arrest Parr.
