York’s first Cat Cafe, is it worth a visit?

The Cats Whiskers York officially opened its doors in May 2019, since then, over 7 years since the opening, the cat cafe’s furry friends have stolen the hearts of thousands of customers

Located in the heart of the city, this cafe has become a hotspot for tourists and locals alike.

My delightful experience was not just limited to the cute roaming cats, but the excellent service, attentive staff who (frequented the floor and) ensured everyone was happy and comfortable, and affordable food offered. The cafe is specially structured to ensure the safety and comfort of the cats, whilst also catering to your enjoyment as a customer!

Each customer receives a 60 minute time slot per booking, which provides the perfect amount of time to greet the cats, and order some delicious food. Not to mention, each cat is available for adoption, with information on this available on their website.

The cafe is considered immensely popular with visitors, having accumulated 4.6 stars on TripAdvisor, and reaches full capacity most weekends, so I would definitely recommend booking online.

The admission fee is £9 per person, excluding the money you may spend on food while on your visit, with food prices ranging from £4.75 for a cake and £3.75 per coffee. While on the pricier side, the amenities provided are more than worth it!
