On bank holiday Monday at Beverley North Yorkshire jockey, David Allan won on three of his six rides making him the most successful jockey at Beverley this season after three meetings winning five races from fourteen rides in three meetings.
LAKE MURITZ was his first win of the day winning at 4/1 in the Mayday Fillies’ Novice Stakes for North Yorkshire based trainer Tim Easterby beating 11/8 favourite SILESIA trained by Kevin Ryan by one length. This was LAKE MURITZ second run after finishing second behind NEWIADOMA at Thirsk last month first time out.
COPPER KNIGHT was his second win of the day New Whistlejackets Guinness Bar Handicap riding once again for Tim Easterby winning at 4/1 beating CANON’S HOUSE trained by Michael & David Easterby by a head. This was COPPER KNIGHT’s ninetieth success in his ten year long racing career.
LYRICAL SONG was David Allan’s third and final win of the day winning the Brian Dixon Memorial Handicap once again for Tim Easterby winning at 10/1 beating North Force by a length. LYRICAL SONG winning for the second time in just under three weeks around Beverley
These results will aid Tim Easterby in having the most wins at Beverley this season as he did last year with ten wins from ninety with him this year already having six wins from twenty two and looks set to beat that result this year.
It was a successful day all round for Yorkshire trainers with all the winners from the eight races being trained in Yorkshire with trainers Ruth Carr, Ivan Furtardo, Kevin Ryan, Stephen Hanlon and Sam England all entering the parade ring as winning trainers on the day also.
