Calling all literary fans who are looking for an enriching read, there are many independent book stores across York, and of course a Waterstones located in the centre.
Waterstones on 15 Coney Street, York, YO1 9QL, is accessible to all and has a lift to access the second floor, and it has dozens of events lined up for the summer months. Spanning different genres and even the activates planned for the event vary from book signings too Q&As.
The next event that is due to take place here is on the 31st of May, Julian Norton from the award-winning The Yorkshire Vet on Channel 5 will be doing an in person book signing of his latest release A Yorkshire Vet back to Herriot Country, It is free to attend and does not require tickets, ideal for a spontaneous visit to York.

Starting from 11:30am, you will be able to bring your own copies of his books to save money, or buy new copies if you do not own any.
Julian Norton is a famous British veterinarian with a TV show on channel 5, which has been running for 10 years this September, following his day-to-day activities at work.
The new book follows Norton’s journey as he returns to his home town in Yorkshire and setting up a local veterinary surgery, and details all the highs and lows of the job.
Promising to include Norton’s whit and charm, with beautiful illustrations to enjoy whilst you read.
