York City will host a pre-season game against Notts County at the LNER stadium on the 27th of July.

Three pre-season friendly fixtures are planned so far for Adam Hinshelwood’s team York City FC, the announcement of League Two side Notts County at home becomes City’s fourth friendly to be revealed ahead of the summer.

Notts County had a League Two title-challenging start to the 2023/24 season, sitting in the top two after week 14.

City secured their National League status at the first time of asking on matchday 46 of the 2022/23 season, away to Notts County back in April 2023.

Notts County won the National League Play Off Final at Wembley Stadium, against Chesterfield, following the end of the season fixture against the Minstermen.
