This comes after US and Israeli strikes against Iran on the 28th of February
Iranian retaliatory strikes have caused a region wide conflict affecting the Gulf nations including the United Arab Emirates.
Across the Gulf region, there is currently an estimated 300,000 British citizens, whether on holiday, transit or work.
Airport closures in the middle east have left many Britons stuck in the area until further notice.
Dubai, one of the world’s most popular tourist destinations, is seeing major disruption to daily life.
One of the many people stuck in Dubai because of the attacks includes a family from Yorkshire.
Dane Chalmers, 35, on honeymoon with his wife and young daughter, told the BBC they were “very shook up” following the first Iranian strikes on Dubai.
Describing the initial scene, he said there were “four big clouds of smoke then within 30 seconds we got escorted to a shelter, which was quite distressing”.
“No parent wants to see their daughter in this environment,” he said.
The UK Government’s advice has been to “shelter in place and register your presence”.
More than 100,000 Brits have registered presence in the area so far with no imminent evacuation plans for the people currently stuck in the region.
