Female sports brand Maiden Cricket seeks ambassadors in York

A revolutionary female sportswear brand with period-proof cricket wear is recruiting new York-based brand ambassadors to get involved in their project.

Maiden Cricket, founded by sisters Honor and Cat Black, is a Sussex based cricket brand that specifically focuses on creating high quality female sportswear.

It follows massive growth in the women and girls games in recent years with the number of female clubs and sections soaring across the sport, according to the England Cricket Board.

The sisters decided to take matters into their own hands as it was clear that traditional sportswear brands were not going to respond to the needs of women cricketers.

The brand was formed in 2024 by the teenagers after they were: “Sick and tired of wearing kit that was clearly made for males – uncomfortable and baggy”.

Maiden’s team want to expand their across the country using their ambassador scheme, it supports all women and girls who want to promote inclusivity within Cricket.

Being an ambassador comes with benefits as well as displaying your passion for Female Cricket. The company is promising discounts on the brand, social media exposure, and access to a supportive, like-minded community

They also run a Rising Stars programme which involves players aged eight to 18 who want to spread the game across schools, colleges and universities across the country.

For the more senior players the Heroes Programme would be suited for those who want to inspire the next generation of female cricketers and create change locally.

They currently have hundreds of ambassadors throughout the country and aspire to grow this number throughout 2026.
