End of an Era: Circuit Travels To York

Following the permanent closure of the long-standing nightclub Kuda, a new name is stepping into the spotlight — Circuit.

The venue is set to host 700 people and opens its doors this week, on 2nd May, replacing one of York’s biggest clubs, Kuda.

Kuda’s capacity was at 250 people, so clubbers can expect the previous old venue to look a little different.

Students eagerly anticipated the lead up to the opening through the updates that were posted about the club’s renovations

Though it hasn’t opened its doors yet, the buzz around Circuit’s opening night is already making waves across the city,

Sparking a debate online on whether the rebrand was the right move for old-time Kuda regulars with commenters stating: “I’ll always call it Kuda.”

The Circuit brand has venues in Cardiff and Bristol both known for their high-energy events and sleek, modern design.

Clubbers in York are being encouraged to sign up for alerts through Circuit’s social media channels.
