The track is heating up for the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix on Sunday 21st May in Imola, Italy.
Italian fan favourite Ferrari is preparing for a big weekend ahead after their embarrassing performance last season on their home track in Italy.
Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz took an early exit during the first lap on the Italian race in 2022, after being hit by Daniel Ricciardo. Ricciardo was released from McLaren at the end of the 2022 season, however he was later signed by Red Bull as their third driver.
Red Bull took home both first and second place last year on the rainy racetrack. It was a comfortable win for Max Verstappen followed by his Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez.
The first five races this season have seen Red Bull fly through the competition and secure major points against rivals such as Mercedes, Aston Martin and Ferrari.
Red Bull are on track to be World Champions yet again. After last year’s scandal, Red Bull had exceeded the FIA budget cap in 2021. They received a $7million fine and a reputation to follow.
