Guardians of the Galaxy vol.3 is released in cinemas today (May 3rd).
The final movie in the GOG trilogy has already hit the ground running after its premiere at Disneyland Paris last week with reviews raving about it being the ‘best film since Avengers: Endgame’.
The cast known for playing the beloved bunch of misfits remains the same, however a few fresh faces will make their debut. The High Evolutionary, also known as Herbert Edgar Wyndham, played by Chukwudi Iwuji will star as the villain. Adam Warlock who is played by Will Poulter is making his long-awaited appearance since being featured in the end credit scene of Guardians of the Galaxy vol.2 back in 2017.
Marvel have shared a glimpse of what to expect from the final to the beloved trilogy and it’s safe to say it’ll be a tearjerker. The plot line follows Rocket the raccoon’s origin as well as the Guardians fight with the High Evolutionary, a scientist known for genetically modifying animals to become humanlike beings.
James Gunn is back again as director despite having been fired from the movie in 2018 following his decade-old controversial tweets were resurfaced by a group of Twitter users. However, he was rehired when the cast of Guardians of the Galaxy fought to get him back as director knowing the third movie wouldn’t be the same without him.
One thing is clear for Marvel fans everywhere, get the tissues ready because it seems this one will trigger a rollercoaster of emotions.
