York Takeaway Fined over £5000
Emrah Aktas, the owner of local York takeaway Pepperoni Palace is facing fines of over £5000 after selling food and drink without a license. The takeaway, located on Walpole Street, was not licensed to sell any food or drink after 11pm due to time limit restrictions. An investigation from York city council
New Covid testing centre open in York
A further 109 coronavirus cases in York were confirmed over the weekend, following reports of a technical issue creating artificially high figures nationally. This led to delays within the transfer of positive cases to Public Health England between 25th September and 2nd October. The Government has said that the data issue has been resolved.
