York’s well known Restaurant Week is returning just after Easter. The discounted week is held twice a year, in October and in March.
This Easter, the week runs between the 9th to 22nd March, making it a fortnight.
The week is brought to the community by York BID, (York Business Improvement District), who aim to deliver key investments and growth in York for local businesses.
York Restaurant Week gives a chance for families and others to enjoy meals on a budget and can bring tourists into York to improve its popularity.

The event has been active since 2019, with more than 100 venues participating. The offers span from £5 to £30, however it has collected around £7 million for the economy plus £3.5 million in customer spending.
For the March restaurant week, almost 30,000 offers were claimed, according to York BID.
This is only the 13th event, the more popular it gets the more York benefits from it.
Sectors such as public transport, attractions and accommodation gain profit from the event as there is an increase in footfall in York.
Offers reach all parts of dining, including dinner, lunch, cafes, bars, pubs and fine dining.
