With the Women’s Euro 2025 approaching this July could this be the time to see our Lionesses take bring football home again?
England, a part of group D, their first match taking place against France on the 5th of July at 8pm in Switzerland.
This championship is much anticipated for many fans of women’s football and football fans alike.
The matches are available to stream on BBC and ITV. Here are four players to watch.
The England and Arsenal star central defender and midfielder has made a name for herself in the world of football due to her immense talent and sportsmanship.
She has shown strong leadership as captain of both the Lionesses and Arsenal.
The 28-year-old began playing for England in 2018 and has since become an instant fan favorite and household nam.
She has 55 senior caps for England.
Williamson made history at the 2022 Euros by being the first woman to lift a major trophy with England after the Lionesses beat Germany in the Euro final.
With her Arsenal team she has many impressive achievements including the BSWL title and the Women’s FA Cup.
As well as the Arnold Clark Cup she also won the She Believes Cup with her England team.
However, she missed the 2023 World Cup due to an ACL injury but made her return to England in April last year.
England, Barcelona and now Chelsea superstar Lucy Bronze has shown her fantastic abilities throughout her career so far.
The 33-year-old made her England debut in 2013 and has 131 caps for the Lionesses.
Her extreme talent has given her the amazing ability to play almost every outfield position as well as her power in the backline as an attacking full back.
She is an incredibly impressive and consistent member of the England squad and played a huge part in the 2022 winning national team.
Bronze has many accolades and past experiences through teams like Sunderland, Liverpool, Everton, and Manchester City.
Her incredible skills have seen her being named UEFA women’s player of the year 2018/19 and the best FIFA women’s player in 2022.
Notably in the 2022 Euros, Bronze went on to play in all six matches and scored a key goal in the semi-final win against Sweden.
The much loved and fan favourite Manchester United forward made her England debut in 2021 and holds 57 caps for the team.
Toone was an extremely dedicated and talented regular for England’s WU17, WU19 and WU21 squads.
Represented the young Lionesses at the 2016 FIFA U17 World Cup.
In 2018 she joined Manchester United’s first team and has developed into one of United’s most known players.
Since her debut for England, Toone has scored consistently under Sarina Wiegmans and is notably a very impressive player with enormous potential.
An extremely talented member of the Lionesses and Manchester United squad, Parris was another member of the 2022 team.
Parris made her England debut in 2016 and hold a very impressive 74 caps for the team.
The forward has always been an extremely talented player from youth level and became the top scorer in the 2019 World cup.
Parris has taken on playing for Manchester City, Lyon and Everton.
She holds an Adobe Women’s FA cup title with Manchester United and won the She Believes Cup in 2019 as well as Arnold Clark cup in 2022.
