After a tough season in rugby Billingham have bitten back showing their spirit against Wharfedale claiming victory in the last play of the game.

Having an up and down season with drastic losses and narrow wins, the team has kept their heads up and ball in play regardless of the results.

With this win under their belts it’s now the 8th game won out of 25 so far and the season coming to an end soon, the team are hoping to have a few more wins secured.

The team had their first try conceded against them in the first five minutes showing Wharfedale were going to be a tough side to compete against.

This early try pushed the team to dig deep and fight for the win, it was a back and forth of trys and conversions until the final play where Billingham pulled a final push to power through and score the winning try of the game.

Then to celebrate the win both teams shared a few drinks, then a few more after, in the clubhouse with shared celebrations of the win for Billingham and a first ever ladies day held at Billingham rugby club .

Minimal fights, plenty of good rugby and many more drinks enjoyed by all.
