York has a whole host of new and exciting events to take part in this month, that will definitely bring out your creative side. Here are my top five that will get you coming back for more.
Number one is a cocktail masterclass that will have you and your friends leaving as cocktail making experts. The Botanist, in the centre of York, hosts masterclasses that are a unique experience, learning about the lifecycle of plants from across the world to unique pairings and of course making three delicious cocktails ( don’t worry if you do not drink, the mocktails are just as good). This is perfect for groups of friends, team building and birthdays.
Next up, a pottery class. This will really bring out the creative side you know you have, no experience is needed for these classes but by the end you’ll have all the knowledge on pottery making. Katie Braida teaches her classes every Thursday from 7pm-9pm at Ebberston Studios, a relaxing after work activity.
Taking third spot is Sip and Paint at Manahatta. Enjoy a range of drinks whilst painting a picture inspired by Bankys’ balloon girl combined with the Yorkshire rose painting. Again, of course you don’t need any experience or supplies, just bring your friends, family or partner and get painting.
Have you got a sweet tooth? Cocoa Works has the perfect masterclass, chocolate bar making. Create your own chocolate bar with all the flavours, chocolates and decorations. You will learn the history, taste and make your favourite sweet treat during this class for a small price. Available everyday so it can work around your schedule.
Number five, The Van Gogh immersive experience. This is a 360 degree journey into the life and work of Van Gogh, you’ll feel like you’re stepping into a painting with the digital projections, narration and music. A great relaxing solo day activity that you won’t regret.
There truly is something for everyone with these events, they are guaranteed to either enhance your creative side or bring it out for the first time.
