Filming of new drama ‘Patience’ in York ends today

New major television drama, ‘Patience’ ceases filming in York today after starting on the 23rd of April.

The upcoming series stars Laura Fraser and Ella Maisy Purvis as a detective and self-taught criminologist in the criminal records department of the Yorkshire Police Force.

Neuro-diversity will also be a strong theme throughout the series, authentically portraying autistic characters with a neuro-divergent actors.

Scenes have been shot near the Minster, on the Shambles, next to Clifford’s Tower and other areas around York.

There have only been minor disruptions around York since filming began, specifically road closures.

The series will launch on PBS in the United States and no UK network partner announced yet.
