Easter in York????????

The search for plans in the Easter holidays is over! York has plenty of fun activities for people of all ages to enjoy!

The Great York Bunny Search

Why not join in with the fun on the Great York Bunny Search? Discover the 26 bunny sculptures hidden around the city. Apparently, their favourite place to hide is in a window, so keep your eyes peeled for the colourful little creatures.

York’s Chocolate Story are sponsoring this year’s bunny trail. Make sure you visit them on Kings’ Square to see their Easter display and find out more about York’s rich chocolate heritage.

Each one of the bunnies will have its own individual design so make sure you hop on the bandwagon and get snapping plenty of pictures!

You can find the Great Bunny Search map at the Visitor Information Centre during the York Easter Festival. If you take a liking to one of the bunnies and would like the opportunity to purchase one for yourself, all 26 bunnies will be auctioned off for charity at the end of the bunny search.

York Chocolate Festival

What’s Easter without lots of chocolate? Stop by The York Chocolate Festival and try some of the tastiest chocolatey treats York has to offer. The festival takes place on Parliament Street from 19th to 22nd April; there will be lots of chocolate tips at the demonstration tent. More sweet treats will be available at the Shambles Food Court which is only a short stroll from Parliament Street so be sure to go and check it out!

York Chocolate Story

Of course, there’s plenty of things happening at York Chocolate Story for Easter as chocolate is their speciality. There’s an Easter egg masterclass and tour where you’ll get the chance to design and decorate your very own Easter egg whilst sampling some of the best chocolate in the world.

If that doesn’t sound like your cup of tea, there is also an Easter egg hunt with the Easter bunny himself! Children can join the bunny in various games, collecting chocolate and meet lots of different vibrant characters as they work together to find the missing chocolate eggs.

If you want to look more into the history of Easter and why chocolate and Easter are so closely associated, then maybe an Easter Tour is more your style.

Why not get down to York Chocolate Story to see what they have in store for you this Easter!
