
York theatre royal to premiere their play – Offside on Thursday the 10th of May
The play is set within three different centuries and tells the tales of 4 professional ladies football players and their trials and tribulations of playing in the footballing world. With help from Manchester City ladies FC and Millwall lionesses Sabrina Mahfouz and Hollie McNish were able to capture the realism of the game down to their extensive research. To understand the historical context of 1892 and 1921 Futures theatre company partnered with the imperial War museum and the national football museum. The play first toured the UK in April 2017 and went on to be showed at the Edinburgh fringe festival
Offside will be shown until Friday the 11th of May.
