Young people fight to vote at 16

By Isabelle Blexill

Three youngsters from North Yorkshire are trying to lower the voting age to 16 as a part of their role in the UK youth parliament.

The North Yorkshire Members of the Youth Parliament are Kitty Jackson (Scarborough), Eden Shackleton (Ripon) and Evie Stevenson (Selby).

Members of the Youth Parliament are set to formally launch the campaigns during their day of action in January.

We asked the people of York what age they thought people should be allowed to start voting at.
