The biggest charity meeting in Britain is getting bigger – attend to help raise money.
Celebrating fifty-three years of fun and fundraising, this event has now raised over £10 million for good causes, why not go along and support Macmillan’s single biggest fundraising event, whilst watching one of the best-known sprint handicaps for three-year-old horses in Europe.

John Smith’s Cup Meeting – Fri 12th – Sat 13th July 2024

York Racecourse is looking forward to the 64th John Smith’s Cup, for many, the informal highlight of the season, offering betting excitement and summer fun.
Racegoers can relax into their weekend on the Friday of the meeting watching high-quality action courtesy of the Group Three William Hill Summer Stakes as the £85,000 highlight of a seven-race card, worth over £250,000.

Music showcase weekend – Fri 26th (evening) – Sat 27th July 2024

A fun day of racing with live entertainment in the evening, what more could you want? Who will be taking the stage you may ask…
Kaiser Chiefs will be playing after racing on the evening on Friday 26 July, with S club taking to the stage after racing on the Saturday.
On Friday evening, the concert is scheduled for 8.45-10.30pm, with the band on stage on Saturday between 5.45pm- 7.30pm. The artists will conduct sound checks during both Friday and again on Saturday morning.
Friday 26th is evening racing, gates open at 3.30 pm and the first races is scheduled to go ahead at 5.30 pm.

York Mix family race day – Sun 18th September 2024

Fun is focused on the younger generation with both visits from a popular character and the “Entertainment Marquee” which has been home to giant inflatables, diggerland, a children’s zoo, zorb football, face painting, and lots more. Look closer to the time for more information.
Part of this traditional Sunday normally sees the young riders taking part in the Pony Racing Series.
